PROFESSIONAL EXTEND® Canister SL3681A

Vacuum exceeded my expectations.

I purchased this Sanitaire Professional vacuum in 2022 as a replacement for a Shark canister I had for many years. My Shark was very light weight, had a RETRACTABLE CORD and easy to clean brushes. It finally could no longer be repaired. The Sanitaire I have used 3 times in the last year. I find it heavy and difficult to use. Changing the brush between floors and carpet requires you to bend down to push the levers. They do not move easily. I find the wrap cord on the bottom a nightmare. I always clean my brushes after evey use and these brushes are very, very difficult to clean ..... took me longer than the amount of time I used the vac.
I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone .... especially if you are older and have some difficulty bending.

The first time I was searching for a vacuum that was not too expensive, would last a year, was commercial-like in its performance, was lightweight...only weighs 10 lbs.,,was easy to move on its wheels, and could be picked up and carried upstairs!! I also wanted a machine with a bag that was large, and this one is!! I purchased a lifetime of replacement bags when I bought the first vacuum. The first one finally stopped sucking things up. This wonderful company was having a sale, plus had the same vacuum in stock!! I will continue to shop with them for all replacements!! They were prompt in following through with placing the order, shipping it, and offering free shipping!! FedEx delivered it a day early!! It worked perfectly, so I am back up and running with equipment that properly sucks!! Thank you!! I will keep using you!!

Great suction and power and very light to maneuver. A big hit in our household.

My wife's beloved Vorwerk finally gave out - motor bearing - and Vorwerk USA is no more. Replace motors from Germany are, you guessed it, EU voltage. She primarily used it last number of years to vacuum out the clothes dryer filter, so it hung in the broom closet with the hose attachment ready. This Sanitaire is even better, well except it somewhat noisier. I made a bracket to hang it vertical in the broom closet, making it ready to go. It's also easy to remove and way more convenient to used for other tasks. We have hard tile floors with area rugs so a power carpet head is not necessary. For cleaning the enclosed patio or cleaning out the cars, say the old shop vac is now a relic.

I added the HEPA filter hoping it would reduce the noise and it did just a little. This Vac is not unusually loud, much quieter than a shop vac. It seems well made and has incredible suction for such a small unit. The bags also appear to be well made and are very easy to change out.
